John Aloisi goes to Coventry.
Despite the unwritten code between managers not to take advantage of situations like Pompeys', Gordon Strachen has put a bid of £650,000 for 17 goal Aloisi. John has agreed personnal terms and passed his medical so it appears that he will be playing for the SkyBlues on Saturday against Jim Smiths Derby. A bit of a Pompey old boys reunion with Mart Poom, Deon Burton, Darryl Powell and Paul Hall all expected to play. Aloisi's pervious club are still owed money from his transfer ( thought to be £200,000 ) The remaining £450,000 ( no doubt minus Asrehole Still's cut ) will go someway to repay the TryBuild debt but there is still another £500,000 owed to the Inland Revenue, the £150,000 to the FA for the players wages last month and £250,000 owed to Director Terry Brady. It is thought that Terry will issue legal procedings against G* if he is not paid soon. There may be an alterier motive to this as Brady has hinted at wanting a share in the club.

It is also reported that there are another 6 offers on Still's desk, including:
Sammy Igoe - Bradford/Bristol City £500,000
Andy Thompson - Bristol Rovers £60,000 - this is been accepted by Pompey subject to Thompson agreeing terms.
Jeff Peron - Port Vale £?
Subject to police approval there is to be a march from 12 High Street, Portsmouth to Fratton Park to demostrate against the cancer of Pompey on the 28th December, the date of the home game against Oxford. Oxford supporters having indicated that they would be willing to join in and given the state of their club who can blame them! The match is also the first to suffer the start of the boycotts. Fans will be picketing the turnstiles to attempt to diswade people from going to the game and the plan is to gather throughout the match in Frogmore Road, Specks Lane and behind the North Terrace inorder to still support the team but deprive G* of any gate receipts. It is expected that the police will attempt to move people on from these locations in which case Milton Park is the alternate location.
Tomorrows update will include details of the crisis meeting held tonight.
